Financial Advisor - David J Medina, CFP®, CWS®, CPFA
David's retirement advisory practice is based on the fiduciary standard, efficient markets, diversification and reducing the impact of fees. He possesses significant experience in the retirement space. Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, David represented retirement plan participants and led enhancements to reduce fund expenses, improve investment options, provide asset allocation support, and received an IRS Determination Letter approving pre-tax and Roth contributions to the plan.

He serves retirement plan sponsors in a 3(21) fiduciary capacity, and assists them in fulfilling their duty to participants through diligent plan design focused on achieving desired outcomes. David earned the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) mark which demonstrates his commitment to prudent practices, and specialized knowledge in the qualified plan space. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM Professional (CFP®), and a Certified Wealth Strategist® (CWS®) as he integrates financial wellness into workplace retirement plans. David holds a BS and MBA from the University of Southern California.

David seeks to leverage the tremendous resources available in the retirement plan industry, and sharing this knowledge to benefit plan sponsors and participants. He participates in national retirement plan events including the National Association of Plan Administrators (NAPA) Summit, Fi360 Insights, Excel 401(k) Conference and Rekon 401(k) Regional Symposiums. David has been a featured speaker on the topic of qualified retirement plans at the Cal CPA and Bruin Professionals chapter meetings, plus the Avon Products National Conference.

Branch Management
Steve Jackson Jr. CFP®, Branch Manager, Pasadena & Claremont, CA has been with the firm for approximately 20 years. He applies a holistic approach to planning by incorporating needs, risk, and time horizon to understand a client's financial picture. This experience is grounded as Steve is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM Professional (CFP®). He is active in the planning community, and is a Past President of the Financial Planning Association (FPA®), San Gabriel Valley Chapter. Steve holds a BS from Loyola Marymount University.

D.A. Davidson Retirement Plan Services Department
The Retirement Plan Services Department works with financial advisors and their clients to provide education, marketing and sales support for qualified and non-qualified plans. We are available to meet with employers and employees, to answer questions regarding plan design, fees, craft proposals and conduct presentations. Every plan sponsor has their individual needs and concerns, so we take a customized approach when finding a solution to meet those needs. The department is led by Connie Bergstrom, CFP®, QPFC®, AIF®, Vice President, Associate Director, Retirement Plan Consultant. We are also supported by Lori Moss, AIF®, Associate Vice President, Retirement Plan Consultant, and Leanne Huber, AIF®, Associate Vice President, Retirement Plan Consultant.
